SLEEP TIGHT

Michael Hussar//

Personally, if I had a Michael Hussar painting in my room I’d be quite scared to go to sleep. His paintings have an eerie feel to them, much like something you’d see in a horror flick or a fucked up dream. His artworks all seem to have a constant underlying factor- death. My favourite piece from his collection is titled “Gummer”. The subject looks like a run-down clown sporting infected lips, bathing in a pool of his own blood whilst smoking a cigarette. It looks like the grim reaper had got the best of him. I love Michael Hussars gothic style paintings; one day I would like to own one, even if that means sacrificing my sleep.

POP SHOCK!

A pair of artist’s working in unison is very rare, but the duo Michael and Inessa Garmish are defiantly artists that first come to mind. They have captured the essence, atmosphere and disposition, which exude not only the talented strokes of brush on canvas but most importantly the mood of the illustration. Any chance of catching an exhibition of these artists should be grasped with full force. Impressionism is making a comeback to mainstream art, well I sure hope so! Warhol and Pollock eat your ARTS out!

LUKE CHUEH

LUKE CHUEH//

I have been following Luke Chueh's art for about a year now and I can't get enough of it. I actually created one of his pieces on my garage wall recently that I'll post on here soon. Luke Chueh is of Chinese-American decent (Eurasian power!) and currently works out of Los Angeles California. His collection features a popular series of macabre themed paintings that include an element of cuteness. Some of his paintings are quite oddball but they are undoubtedly very entertaining!
Enjoy!

BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER

Whats better than art on hot women? Well for me nothing. Suicide Girls are what I find to be the most attractive specimens walking planet earth. I think it's the fact that most of these women have dedicated their bodies to being a living breathing canvas, but it also helps that most of them are reasonably easy on the eyes. I understand these women don't satisfy the criteria that most men consider their ideal girl, but what the hell, sign me up because they tick my boxes!

YOUR HEAD LOOKS LIKE A BANANA

Now Giuseppe Arcimboldo was one whacked out artist, but that's why I like him. His paintings are surely creative and are extremely unorthodox. He is best known for his creative portrait heads made entirely of certain objects. He would precisely arrange these objects in a way that would best represent the portrait matter. What would you call his art, portrait or still life? Weird, but nonetheless incredibly talented!

BANKSY VS THE GREY GHOST

Everyone has pretty much heard of and loves the street artist BANKSY. With that being said I thought I'd post a few of my favorite pieces. His recent work was featured in Louisiana USA. Unfortunately, some of these pieces were covered with the infamous grey paint from anti-graffiti artist otherwise known as the 'Grey Ghost'. Damn you Grey Ghost!

The result of the 'Grey Ghost' pictured above.
